Job Title: AFRICOM - Joint Operations Planner Job Category: Project and Program Management Time Type: Full time: Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular-Long Term Assignment: Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Outside Continental US - * * The Opportunity: As an AFRICOM Joint Operations Planner, you will provide expert advice, coordinate component staff efforts and conduct theater-level planning to assist the geographic combatant command with meeting its strategic and campaign objectives. Responsibilities: Analyze, plan and execute major projects related to Joint Operations in large-scale military operations. Conduct mission analysis, develop options, write papers, and provide recommendations to improve complex missions and programs. Plan and present strategic and operational options to AFRICOM leaders. Coordinate and review projects for quality, consistency, and compliance with objectives. Apply knowledge of the joint force and the joint planning processes.
