Cancer Pain Specialist The Division of Pain Medicine, within the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University, is seeking an outstanding Cancer Pain Specialist to join our expanding Pain Service Line with an appointment in the Clinician Educator Line. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The Cancer Pain Specialist will serve as a faculty lead in Cancer Pain Medicine, expanding access to specialized oncologic pain care through both outpatient visits and procedures as well as inpatient consults. While the role primarily focuses on outpatient care, it also enhances inpatient consult capacity to ensure timely access to treatment. This position strengthens collaboration across oncology, palliative care, and interventional pain services, reducing treatment delays and advancing Stanford’s leadership in integrated, patient-centered, and innovative cancer pain management.
