Position Description Summary The Electrical/IT Construction Inspector is responsible for performing inspections of electrical and low-voltage systems within public works rights-of-way, buildings, tenant improvement projects, and civil/electrical construction. This position ensures all work complies with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, safety regulations, and LAWA requirements. Essential Job Duties: - Conducts inspections in public works right of ways, buildings, tenant improvement renovations & civil electrical work, shall possess experience & have knowledge of the materials and understanding methods used in the installation of electrical components & local code requirements. - Shall possess knowledge in low voltage IT systems including interpretation of code requirements. - Experience desired in inspection of electrical rough and finishes not limited to, underground utilities, high voltage gear & electrical panels, 400 HZ conduit racks, conductors, grounding systems, breakers, interior & exterior lighting, fire life & safety systems, smoke & heat sensors,FM-200 installations, lock out tag out requirements, electrical panel shutdowns, IT door card readers and comp...
