Lead Security Officer - Full-Time, 2nd Shift

Summary: To provide assistance to the Security Manager and Supervisors in the daily operations of the Museum, and take the place of a Security Supervisor in their absence to supervise a security shift when needed. A security shift may include, but is not limited to, Security Officers, or other persons as directed by the Director of Security. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Prior to a shift hold roll call, give oral and written instructions and assignments to department staff - Inspect uniforms and equipment of staff prior to assignment. - Conduct coaching sessions with staff and make recommendations for disciplinary actions according to Museum and Department procedures. - Assist the Security Supervisor in performance evaluations of staff. - Coordinate training of new staff and professional development training for existing staff. - Perform duties of a Security Officer when needed. - Record all activities occurring using a Daily Activity Report. - Plan daily schedules for department personnel. - Assist Security Supervisor with payroll. - Provide input regarding purchase of necessary equipment and supplies. - Inform on-coming Security Supervisor of all shift activities. - Ov...
