Engineer I, Technology (Metallurgy)

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Level I Technology Engineer supports the development, testing, and application of metals and alloys. This role focuses on process development, continuous improvement, and quality and cost control initiatives. The engineer will collaborate closely with production personnel, operations supervisors, and technical teams across the organization to ensure efficient and consistent manufacturing performance. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Conduct tests on metals to determine their physical, chemical, and mechanical properties . - Inspect and test metal products to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications, documenting results and reporting deviations. - Working directly with customers, sales , and the process design team on new product development opportunities. - Reviewing order inquiries to assess our ability to meet customer requirements. - Continuously improving current processes to positively impact quality, productivity , and cost. - Interacting directly with Quality Assurance and supporting the sales team to address any customer technical concerns. - Establishing relationships and interacting with many other ATI oper...
