Description Hospice of the Piedmont is a life-changing, mission-driven organization offering a team-based work environment with a supportive management team. We are seeking a full-time Hospice Aide who provides personal care and/or homemaker services supporting the patients and caregivers in a manner that is meaningful and reflects the Hospice philosophy and concepts of care. This position focuses on delivering quality hospice care to patients residing in long-term care facilities throughout Charlottesville and Albemarle County Qualifications: - Assists patients with personal hygiene, including shower, tub or bed baths and mouth, skin and hair care – all activities of daily living that are required. - Assists patients in the use of toilet facilities, including bedpans, incontinent care etc. - Assists patients in and out of bed, including the use of mechanical lifting equipment, when applicable - Assists patients with walking, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs, when applicable - Assists patients with self-administration of medications - Assists with simple meal preparation and feeding, when required - Measures and records fluid intake and output - Takes and records blood...
