Description Bard College seeks an International Student Advisor to join the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISSS). The position supports international students and serves an integral role as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternative Responsible Officer (ARO) by interpreting complex federal immigration regulations and providing high-level guidance to our international student community. This is a full-time, exempt, 12 months per year position based on the Bard College campus in Annandale-on-Hudson. The International Student Advisor reports to the Director of Visa and Immigration Services. Job Duties: - Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) for the F-1 visa program and as an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the J-1 exchange visitor program. - Assist international students regarding visa applications, travel, employment authorization and status maintenance. - Issue and update immigration documents (Form I-20, DS-2019) and report changes in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (or SEVIS) in accordance with federal regulations. - Monitor and document student enrollment status, address updates, and maintain documents and SEVIS rec...
