Job Summary The Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer, Staff is responsible for leading the planning, design, and installation of Flight Test Instrumentation and telemetry systems. This role involves overseeing requirements, system design. Managing the procurement, installation, and calibrations of the instrumentation systems and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the instrumentation requirements. This position is expected to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and play a critical role in high-stakes, complex testing environments. This roll will also provide FTE support planning, testing, conducting, and analyzing flight testing as time permits. Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions: - Lead the development, design, installation, calibration, and maintenance, and documentation of comprehensive flight test instrumentation systems. - Coordinate with various engineering groups to define required instrumentation sensors measurement range, accuracy, and resolution, - Manage telemetry ground station equipment and operation. - Create and release instrumentation drawings, schematics, and workorders. - Manage group’s video recording cap...
