We are seeking a skilled and proactive Control Systems / Automation Engineer to join our engineering team based at Southampton Port. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of operational technology systems across the site. You will take the lead on complex fault finding, system improvements, and the integration of new and upgraded equipment, while supporting ongoing operational excellence About The Role: How will you contribute: What will you Bring. - Lead fault-finding activities on major breakdowns (exceeding 3 hours), minimising operational downtime and providing out-of-hours support when required. - Implement, enforce, and maintain controls in line with the Operational Technology Security Governance Policy, ensuring all incidents and breaches are properly escalated. - Lead commissioning and pre-acceptance testing of new equipment and infrastructure. - Deliver modifications and upgrades to PLCs and drive control systems to improve reliability, safety, and operational performance. - Source and integrate replacement components and systems for obsolete equipment in collaboration with procurement teams. - Support and deliver projects focused on im...
