Position Details School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences Location: University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham UK Full time starting salary is normally in the range £33,002 to £35,608 with potential progression once in post to £39,906 Grade: 6: Part Time 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week) Fixed Term contract up to August 2029 Closing date: 10th June 2026: Background: Applications are invited for an 80% Research Associate position (start date September 1st 2026) to work at the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Birmingham. The contract duration is 3 years. The successful candidate will join a research project funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, aimed at understanding how to optimize brain vascular health in older adults. This will be done under direct supervision of Prof. Sam Lucas and Prof. Katrien Segaert (co-PIs), and Dr Jack Feron (postdoctoral research fellow).
