Overview The purpose for the Title Claims Underwriter position is to assist in leading the pre-foreclosure title and loan modification line of business with the title underwriting guidance. The Title Claims Underwriter will review title claims for departments to access, limit and rebuttal liability. Title Claims Underwriter will review claims and work with management to identify problems with title procedures and risk items. Title Claims Underwriter will work with title production teams to ensure quality of title is being met. A DAY IN THE LIFE: In this role, you will…: - Assist staff by guiding the team on title procedures. - Assist with client correspondence, management correspondence, and participating in client calls or management meetings. - Assist production teams with new protocols, procedures, and areas of improvement in the title operation. - Assist with researching claims, communicating with legal, and updating systems with claim progress. - Assist with title training for clients, staff, and management teams. - Assist with collecting funds, providing reports, and completing special projects as assigned.
