Employment Type: Part time Shift: Description: Position Purpose: The Walk-in Clinician is considered a Mental Health Professional per the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse in the State of Pennsylvania. This position provides direct service and assessment to the serious and persistent mentally ill adults who have a co-occurring drug or alcohol diagnosis. Service provision consists of assessing the immediate needs of persons walking into the Center and providing immediate linkage to community service providers as deemed applicable. What You Will Do: Provides direct service as necessary. Recognize potential crisis and respond to or intervene in crisis situations within the guidelines of Organizational Policy and Procedure using approved CPI techniques. Demonstrates ability to recognize when a consumer requires medical, psychiatric, or other services and takes appropriate action. Integrate the consumer into the community and ongoing assessment and management of crisis situations using all appropriate resources.
