Deli Associate Job Title: Deli Associate: Immediate Supervisor Title: Store Manager / Deli Manager General Summary: A non-exempt deli associate position responsible for operating the stores deli counter. Job Responsibilities: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: One year of deli experience preferred. - Greets customers and provides them with prompt and excellent service. - Provides information regarding available deli items such as meats and cheeses. - Makes sandwiches and salads from deli items according to customers’ instructions. - Packs ready to sell deli products in proper containers and place them in glass display cases. - Prepares deli products by cutting, slicing and cubing them according to provided instructions. - Picks and packs customer’s chosen items and ring them up in the POS system. - Processes cash and credit and debit card transactions and tender change and receipt. - Ensures that sufficient supply of deli items is displayed in cases. - Handles maintenance and rotation of deli items to avoid spoilage and damage. - Ensures that display cases, counters, utensils and surrounding areas are kept clean and sanitized. - Handles signage and displays of...
