Senior Maintenance Worker - Cecil Ivory House

Job description

HOURS: Full-time 37.5 hours per week QUALIFICATIONS: - Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of facility. - Make repairs requiring skills such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical. - Responsible for preventative maintenance of cooling/heating and domestic hot water systems. - Ensure that the periodic maintenance and inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm system and fire extinguishers is performed and documented. - Arrange for and oversee outside contractors as directed. - Receive and store deliveries of maintenance/office supplies. - Move furniture as needed. - Be a member of the fire safety team. - Participate in fire drills. - Related duties as assigned. - On call for emergencies, this may require early and/or late hours. - Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm - High school diploma or GED required. - Ability to communicate in English. - Valid Driver's License required. - Five years experience in building maintenance, experience in trades is helpful. - Ability to use independent discretion and judgement. - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
