Shift: 12 hour night shifts: Job Description: PATIENT POPULATION: The patient population served can be all patients, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Lab Director and Lab Manager, the Clinical Lab Scientist organizes and performs the daily activities of the area(s) to which he/she is assigned. Those areas include: Chemistry, Blood Bank, Hematology, Serology, Urinalysis, Coagulation and Microbiology. Supervises the proper performance of all laboratory procedures and reporting of test results in the absence of the Director or Clinical Lab Scientist Lead. Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call.
