Job description

Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. - Serve as a circulating nurse in the procedure room. - Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for upper endoscopy, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy. - Collaborate with gastroenterologists, anesthesia providers, nurses, and endoscopy technicians to ensure safe patient care. - Monitor patient condition and ensure patient safety during procedures. - Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards. - Educate patients and families on pre-operative and post-operative care. - Follow infection control, safety, and ASC protocols. - Uses equipment effectively following manufacturer’s instruction for use - Uses proper techniques and procedures according to accepted standards of practice - Assists with inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the admission area - Maintains order and cleanliness of Pre Op/Admitting area - Actively participates as a team member in support of the total pre-anesthesia care process - Per Center Policy, uses two patient identifiers, identifies and validates the patient...
