Position Title: Utility Plant Operator Position Type: Full time Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Categories: Staff Non-exempt Job Summary: Bucknell University is seeking candidates to fill a vital role in the Utility Plant. The Utility Plant Operator will operate the boilers, turbine generator, chill water plant, and general equipment in accordance with utility plant procedures. Job Duties: Reporting Relationships: Reports to: Utility Plant Supervisor Schedule/Location: Swing Shift - varying shifts to meet the needs of the university Located on-campus in the Utility Plant What You Will Do: Performs hourly readings of boilers and chilled water plant parameters and documents readings. Performs multiple daily chemical tests for waters in the boilers and the chilled water plant and adjusts chemical addition rates accordingly. Maintains boilers, turbine generator, and chilled water plant and associated equipment. Performs corrective maintenance based on faults and indications using critical knowledge of plant design and operations.
