POSITION SUMMARY: The Packaging Engineer I will assist in the development of MSD Consumable and Instrument Packaging. This position will participate in projects that include determining requirements and specifications, design of packaging, design of molds/packaging manufacturing, configuration, and integration into MSD manufacturing and inventory systems. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collaborate with process engineers, product owners, and other engineers to design packaging solutions for use with MSD’s products and manufacturing automation. - Participate in the development of process and packaging design requirements and specifications - Analyze simple data and draw initial conclusions and recommendations based on analysis. Present these findings to relevant parties. - Participate in the development and execution of packaging design verification and validation test plans - Participate in the develop and implementation of packaging test plans - Generate and implement change orders to promote product design and process improvements - Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechani...
