Part time Academic Instructor (HNU 135) Department of Human Nutrition, Faculty of Science Position Description: The Department of Human Nutrition invites applications for a part-time Academic Instructor to teach HNU 135 (Introductory Nutrition for Nursing) (3 credits) during the winter term of the 2026-2027. This position is subject to final budgetary approval. This course focuses on the fundamentals of nutrition with an emphasis on macronutrients and micronutrients along with their functions, dietary sources, digestion and metabolism, and how and why nutrient needs change throughout stages of the life cycle. The successful applicant will have a graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics, experience working in an interdisciplinary team, and be a Registered Dietitian registered with (or be eligible for registration/licensure with) the Nova Scotia Regulator of Dietetics (NSRD). About the Department: The Department offers a four-year program leading to a BSc in Human Nutrition and BSc in Human Nutrition Honours degrees and has an Integrated Dietetic Internship Program.
