Job Summary: The Design Project Manager role is to oversee and coordinate all phases of a multifamily/commercial project, including Design, Purchasing, Production, and Shipping. Works under general direction; exercises discretion and judgment on work priority on a regular basis; and some degree of creativity is expected. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Pre-Design Prep files for design: Follow up with sales to ensure design has all pertinent documents. Latest plans, Mech. plans, CAD files Setup “Working Set” document. Import most recent plans into base “Working Set” document. Bookmark pages of the plans. Review terms of project. Check quote date to see if it will need to be updated. Setup and facilitate pre-design meeting between sales, design & estimator. Review quote to ensure everyone is clear on what products were sold. Discuss framing schedule and project duration with sales. Take notes during this meeting for reference later and email the notes to sales & design. Save a copy of these notes in base quote folder also. Assist in setting up DATEHOLD orders. Using “Multi-Family Pricing Info” sheet, create quote #’s. Assign each quote board footage & price.
