Position Function: The School of Architecture at Mississippi State University invites applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026. We seek candidates with experience in integrating emerging approaches to sustainable and resilient design in their research, teaching, and creative practice. The candidates are expected to incorporate innovative strategies and techniques for sustainable design in studio and lecture courses as part of the design studios and technology coursework at the undergraduate level. Areas of expertise that are sought range from energy modeling, building performance simulation, innovative use of materials, structural investigations, and construction techniques, among others. Design studios are the heart of the School of Architecture. While sustainable and resilient principles are taught in a range of courses, studios are the place in which faculty and students engage in deep investigations with the aim of advancing architecture.
