Position Number: 100790: Classification Title: Human Resources Specialist Working Title: Senior Human Resources Specialist Department: Human Resources: FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: $50,000 - $53,000 Pay Basis: Annually POSITION OVERVIEW: JOB SUMMARY: Administers and communicates State of Florida/University of West Florida benefits and services for state group health and life insurance; dental plans; disability insurance; supplemental insurance (hospital income, cancer, vision); retirement plans, tax sheltered annuities; state tax deferred compensation plans; and long term care. Documents, updates, and corrects insurance premiums, personal data into the People First Benefits database and Banner HRIS, and files associated documents. Daily and ongoing contact with People First, and UWF Payroll office in resolving underpayments, overages, and discrepancies with premiums. Acts as a liaison between insurance companies and agents troubleshooting employee issues to insure continuity of services.
