Job description
The Regional Sales Manager maximizes revenues from sales of the organization's products and/or services through a base of reseller partners in specific assigned channels and/or vertical markets. Locates, evaluates and recruits potential channel partners, including systems integrators, value-added resellers (VARs), distributors, dealers or retailers. Supports partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, including marketing, advertising, sales promotions and training to achieve revenue targets. Responsibilities are within the Channel Sales Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. Manages and is accountable for the performance of a small team of professional associates, or supervisors of business support / operation roles. Decisions are guided by policies, resources and business plan; receives moderate guidance from manager. Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and sets priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges.
