Description Chapel Hill Elementary School: Hours 2:00 pm-6:00 pm (Monday-Friday): POSITION SUMMARY: Performs special floor specific cleaning projects as well as daily floor cleaning duties in accordance with standard procedures and contract objectives. Operates various types of equipment used for floor care maintenance such as but not always, auto scrubbers, floor machines, wet/dry vacuums, burnishers, vacuums, sweepers, pressure wash equipment and carpet extractors. Provides daily preventive equipment maintenance on all equipment used. Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Dust Mopping Floors - Mopping and Burnishing Floors (Buffing) - Strip and Re-Wax Floors based on a floor care schedule - Top Scrub as Needed - Ensure all baseboards, corners, and edges are free of debris, and wax build up - Sweep, mop, scrub, and/or vacuum floors. - “Spot” cleaning carpets. - Steam-clean or shampoo carpets as needed or if in the contract. - Use electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training). - Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equ...
