** Internal Workers – Please log into your Workday account to apply ** Expectations: Under the direction of a board certified/eligible physician, the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Department of Cardiac Surgery is responsible for implementing and maintaining APP requirements both programmatic and competency specific to Cardiac Surgery Programs. The APP is clinically responsible and accountable for the application of the process, providing clinical guidance to the team, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge. The APP may be required to assist in the OR or perform other departmental specific procedures. They may only provide those medical services, which they are competent, trained, and have privileges to provide. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required. Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Completion of an accredited program for Nurse Practitioner required.
