Grounds & Nursery I ( Job Number: 38921 ) Description: University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Facilities Management Support Services: Job Title: Grounds & Nursery I Position: #00218293 Requisition #38921: Job Summary: This unit exists to care for and maintain all grounds areas of the University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz Medical Campus and provide support to the Denver Campus, to provide a safe and attractive atmosphere for working and learning. This work unit also assists with the set up and tears down services for special events as well as disposal service for electronic, furniture, and computer equipment. Key Responsibilities: Parking, Roads, and Grounds Maintenance (70%) Maintain campus parking and roads, maintenance, sweeping, striping, crack sealing, improvements of parking lots, signs, shrubs, trees, grass, irrigation, weed control and new projects and new tasks. Snow Removal (15%): Remove snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, walkways, plazas, entryways, and others around campus, by using Trucks, skid steer loader, tractor, motorized tools or hand shovels.
