Classification Title: Agricultural Assistant II Classification Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Job Description: The Department of Animal Sciences is seeking an Agricultural Assistant II. This position is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Beef Research Unit. These responsibilities include independent initiative and completion of assigned duties related to but not limited to animal husbandry; forage management; facilities and equipment upkeep; vehicle and equipment operation; assistance with research projects; and supervision of student employees. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Animal Husbandry Feeding cattle concentrate, hay, and mineral. Maintain cattle equipment and facilities. Cattle handling, vaccination, observation, and transportation. Data collection, record keeping, and research support. Assist with other cattle management activities as needed.
