JOB SUMMARY: Assists providers in exams and office procedures. Maintains supply inventory in exam rooms, cleans and sterilizes equipment, gives limited injections and draws blood. Assist with front office functions. Serves as primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education: - High School Diploma or equivalent is required. - Graduate from a recognized training facility for medical assistants is required. - Current Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CCMA/NRCMA certification required. - Current CPR certification is required. Minimum Work Experience: - Minimum of one year medical assistant experience in a physician's office setting is preferred.
