What You Will Do Johnson Controls is hiring! The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for mechanical analysis, detailed design, subsystem integration, and overall mechanical performance of HVAC equipment. This role supports new product development, sustaining engineering, prototyping, laboratory validation, and manufacturing execution across air handling, fan coil, and VAV platforms. In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams—including electrical, controls, test laboratory, compliance, sourcing, manufacturing, service, applications, and marketing—to deliver market-leading, safe, compliant, serviceable, and cost-effective HVAC products. You will provide technical leadership on complex mechanical designs and serve as a subject-matter expert for assigned products or subsystems. Candidates must be commuting distance to Largo, FL, since this is an onsite position. For candidates that are able to relocate, we offer various relocation packages.
