Job Title: Assistant Teacher Department: Child Care: Location: Park Ridge Child Center, 1539 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY- 14626. Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week Schedule: Full -time, Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm or 7.30 am to 4.30 pm Position Summary: Assist teacher in providing appropriate program for all children and maintain positive relationships with children and parents. Key Responsibilities: Assists the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children. Assists in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development. Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all of the children and their families. Effectively guides children's behavior in an age appropriate and positive manner. Constructively participates in staff meetings and attends meetings with supervisor. Meets the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural needs of individual children. Attends a minimum of 15 hours of training every year.
