Job description

Overview Under minimal supervision, conducts experiments complex in nature under the direction of scientific staff. Submits, recommends, and schedules experiments including preparation, protocols, reports and budgets. Performs varied studies, usually complex in nature, using accepted procedures. Collaborates with research staff. Independently writes standard operation procedures, contributing scientist reports, and cost estimates. Authors sections of publications Supervises professional and/or technical staff and provides training. Qualifications: Requires a masters degree in a relevant scientific discipline and a minimum of 5 years of directly-related research experience; or an equivalent combination of education and training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder in order to gain and maintain access to Kirtland Air Force base (KAFB) is required. Preferred/Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred.
