Job description

The Mobile Device Specialist is responsible for sustaining MedStar Health’s existing mobile device infrastructure while supporting the organization’s transition to Epic mobile applications. This role focuses on operational stability, device lifecycle management, and frontline support during a period of significant clinical and technical change. The specialist works closely with Clinical Informatics, Oracle Health app analysts, nursing leadership, and End User Technology teams to ensure mobile devices remain reliable, secure, and usable throughout the Epic transition, while continuing to meet current clinical, operational, and regulatory needs. Key Responsibilities: Operational Sustainment (Primary Focus): - Maintain and support MedStar’s existing fleet of clinical mobile devices (iOS and Android), ensuring high availability for patient‑care workflows. - Support day‑to‑day device management activities including provisioning, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, repair coordination, and decommissioning. - Leverage enterprise MDM platforms (Workspace ONE, Intune) to enforce security, compliance, and configuration standards.
