Worker Type Regular: Job Description: AV is looking for a highly talented Senior Missile System Structural Engineer to join our Huntsville team. In this role you will be part of AV's team providing Systems Engineering Technical Assistance to the Missile Defense Agency Ground-based Midcourse Dense (MDA/GMD) Product Office under the Teams-Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering (TN-MDSE) contract managed by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Conduct analysis of interceptor missile system and/or launch and ground system structures, structural mechanics, failure modes, and fatigue analysis. Support missile/ground system structural requirements development, coordination and verification activities in support of the MDA/GMD Product Office. Support and lead multi-disciplinary Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM) and Working Groups (WG) with missile defense Government and Industry partners. Coordinate and support execution of TIMs and/or WGs in the absence of Government Product Office Chairs. Document activities, actions, and Executive Summaries of structural analysis TIMs and WGs.
