The Law Clerk is a full-time position and is eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, beginning on the first day of employment. The attorney supports the Honorable Mary Jane Bowes of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. The role requires outstanding research and writing skills. It is effective for an initial period of one year. The position commences in Spring 2026, and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Job Duties: Discerns, analyzes, and applies pertinent legal authorities. Reviews trial court records and appellate briefs. Recommends appropriate dispositions. Drafts logical, articulate, and persuasive dispositive memoranda and opinions utilizing the form and style required by Judge Bowes. Proofreads and reviews the writings of appellate court judges. Satisfies deadlines. Attends oral argument sessions and performs related work as required. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with members of the judiciary and departmental administrators.
