Job description

Description Title: Steel Welder: Department(s): Warehouse - Steel: Reports to: Production Supervisor: Job Summary: Weld either new or used (repair/modify) panel frames, panel stands, gates and related steel products. Essential job functions: - Structural welding skills not required. Typical weld types are TAC welds used for holding material in place. - Receive works orders from Team leader. - Determine and Cut materials and sizes needed for work order - Checks weld quality (Strength and cosmetic) - Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles - Basic maintenance on the Weld and Saw Machines - Keep the shop clean and organized - Participates in-taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines - Manage multiple priorities - Require building custom orders - Performing all duties safely and as directed - Other duties as needed Qualifications: Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
