Overview Telecommunications Mechanic II (MCCONN-2026-24817): Bowhead seeks a skilled Telecommunications Mechanic II to support mission-critical Base Telecommunications System (BTS) operations at McConnell Air Force Base. This position provides advanced technical support for the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of inside and outside plant telecommunications infrastructure, including copper, fiber optic, and voice systems. The Telecommunications Mechanic II will support Avaya voice switching systems and associated telephony equipment while ensuring secure, reliable communications in compliance with Department of Defense and Air Force requirements. This role requires a DoD-compliant IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) and the ability to respond to outages, perform preventive maintenance, and execute work orders supporting 24/7 operational readiness.
