Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Serves as shift commander, overseeing staff operations in a 24-hour, 7-days a week corrections facility; direct supervision of the shift sergeants; indirect supervision of the activities of correctional officers; ensuring inmate safety and security; coordinates inmate movement to include new commitments and inmate releases; responsible for the day to day security operations with overall supervision of both staff and the inmate population to ensure the completion of tasks specific to their shift at the Lancaster County Prison.
