The team delivers expert solutions to complex engineering problems and provides specialist input to engineering and maintenance activities throughout the fleet lifecycle. As the UK Design Authority for in‑service fleets, the team is responsible for managing the Technical Library and maintaining design and technical information in line with contractual requirements. This role provides mechanical engineering support across all Hitachi Rail fleets , including undertaking root cause analysis of engineering issues, developing understanding of complex problems, and identifying both short‑term mitigations and long‑term corrective actions.
