We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Elmbridge to assist with the appointment of a Communications Officer, on a 8-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £15.09 - £19.72 per hour Summary: The Communications Officer role has a strong focus on website communications, including writing and editing accessible web content, while also supporting media enquiries, press releases, social media activity, newsletters, intranet updates, and communications campaigns. Responsibilities: Qualification: Essentials : - Write, edit and maintain accessible website content to support organisational communications. - Produce high-quality written and digital communications content for a variety of media channels. - Support brand identity, accessibility and clarity standards across all communications. - Collate, write and edit news articles for employees, Councillors and residents. - Support the delivery of internal and external communications campaigns. - Maintain and update the intranet to ensure employees receive timely information and updates. - Educated to Level 5 or degree level or equiv...
