Job description

Position Summary: The Nutrition Aide provides support to WIC program participants, including assisting with the eligibility determination of new and existing WIC participants. Essential Functions of the Job: Client Services: 95% - Collect, screen and document income, address and category information for WIC certification - Input data into WIC MIS - Issue food benefits - Provide appointments and necessary forms to current and potential WIC participants - Educate participants on non-nutritional issues such as program orientation, including the use of food benefits - Document nutrition education attendance - Take participants’ height and weight and screen for anemia - Prepare and ensure that participants have all necessary materials for nutrition classes and certifications - Call participants to remind them of their appointment or re-schedule missed appointments - Demonstrate openness to organizational changes - Actively seek out ways to improve processes Other WIC Support Services: 5%: - Assist with filing and data storage - Maintain and submit orders for adequate inventory of office supplies - Participate in program linkages, referral, and outreach activities Additional Duties and R...
