Department: OPH-Bureau of Family Health Job Summary: Job Description: - Responsible for Louisiana Violent Death Reporting System (LA-VDRS) data collection for the National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS). - Ensures relevant law enforcement and coroner records data are collected and entered into the NVDRS electronic system in accordance with CDC standards for the NVDRS - Performs or oversees data entry. - Maintains current data collection protocols for the NVDRS surveillance system. - Serves as the data collection liaison for the Bureau of Family Health (BFH) LA-VDRS initiative with law enforcement agencies and coroner offices. - Serves as lead LA-VDRS abstractor and provides support to part-time LA-VDRS abstractor(s). - Assists the LA-VDRS Epidemiologist with case tracking and c...
