Position Overview Are you an experienced billing professional with a passion for accuracy and compassion-driven care? Join our team as a Hospice Billing Specialist, where you will ensure timely and compliant billing across multiple Ohio-based hospice agencies. This position plays a vital role in supporting our mission of delivering comfort and dignity to patients and families across the state. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and submit electronic claims for Medicare, Ohio Medicaid, and Managed Care payers specific to hospice care. - Track and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursements in accordance with CMS and Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) regulations. - Work knowledgeably with Notice of Election (NOE), Notice of Termination/Revocation (NOTR), and other hospice-specific billing processes. - Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), remittance advice (RA), and hospice billing edits (HIS/NOE rejections). - Manage aging reports, bad debt accounts, and hospice cap tracking. - Communicate with insurers, clearinghouses, and hospice team members to resolve discrepancies. - Stay current with changes in Ohio Medicaid Managed Care plans and hospice CMS billing regulat...
