Responsible for providing patient care within the Registered Nurse scope of practice utilizing critical thinking skills to manage ill or injured patients during transport between facilities. The transport nurse will function as a resource and help, in the Emergency Department or a designated area where the nurse is immediately accessible for transport. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact ( eNLC ). 2. The following Certifications are required: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): 3.
