Job DetailsJob Location: Medina Regional Hospital 3100 Ave E - Hondo, TX 78861Position Type: PRNTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DaysPOSITION PURPOSE: Relieves the Director of Radiology and other medical personnel of administrative, clerical, and technical work by performing the following duties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Compiles and records medical charts, and reports. Enters exams into the hospital’s computer systems and program it when new software arrives. Answers telephone, schedules appointments, and greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors. Translates instructions to Spanish speaking patients. Instructs new patients in completion of information forms. Instructs patients as to preps necessary for scheduled exams. Confirms patients' insurance eligibility with insurance companies when needed. Files and obtains records as necessary from x-ray film storage facility. Copies all films when necessary and complies with subpoenas for x-ray films. Transport patients to and from other areas of the hospital and imaging. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
