What You'll Do: As a Teacher Assistant you will work in our integrated and self contained preschool classrooms and collaborate with the Special Education Teacher to create a safe, warm and caring educational environment for our students. You will follow all OCFS regulations, follow schoolwide PBIS initiative, and collaborate with classroom staff, parents, education consultant, and administration. Your Responsibilities Will Include: - Work under supervision of classroom teacher. - Assist in caring for physical needs of children - Attend staffing, departmental in-service meetings as assigned. - Assist in keeping classroom and program supplies ready and well maintained. - Maintain professional ethics in the building and out, regarding the discussion of pupils, and their conditions. - Assist individuals with toileting and personal care needs when necessary. - Assist with behavior management of children under the supervision of the classroom teacher as outlined by Program and Agency policies. - Interact with children at all times in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate way,...
