Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer/Architect to support the design and implementation of advanced solutions within the Global Management System (GMS) Innovations portfolio. This role involves leading functional and technical system design to enable secure, scalable, and data-driven capabilities in a cloud-native, AI-ready infrastructure. This is a hybrid role requiring periodic on-site presence at Fort Meade, MD or Scott AFB, IL — candidates must reside within driving distance of either location. Key Responsibilities: Lead technical architecture design for solutions across the GMS Innovation portfolios. Develop and manage system requirements for customer-facing, cloud-based capabilities. Derive functional, technical, performance, security, and availability requirements. Act as a liaison between stakeholders, guiding both technical teams and non-technical partners. Oversee implementation and testing phases, ensuring successful deployment. Design and document architecture artifacts such as IDDs, ICDs, RDTMs, SDPs, and system roadmaps.
