You’ll lead a team of engineers, researchers, and data scientists, and you need to be deep enough in the technology to QA AI agent outputs, evaluate RAG pipeline architectures, challenge prompt engineering decisions, review system designs, and guide the team’s technology roadmap. You’re not writing production code, but you’re reading it, understanding it, and making informed calls about whether the technical approach is sound.
