Sr. Systems Engineer

About the role As a System Engineer at 10x, you will be involved in all aspects of the product development process, from the initial ideation and requirements generation to prototyping to launch. System engineers develop instrument architectures, conceive and run system-level models, and design & implement custom hardware systems and associated metrology and testing approaches. You will work closely with hardware engineers including mechanical, electrical, optical and fluidic groups and collaborate cross-functionally with software, chemistry and computational biology teams. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, independent, systems thinkers who value creative and robust design, enjoy working at the seams of different engineering and science disciplines, and have strong data analysis and presentation skills. Strong technical proficiency in instrument hardware and/or software design should underpin a desire to develop holistic, multidisciplinary platform architectures.
