POSITION INFORMATION: As a multi-disciplinary engineering firm, success in this position will require the ability to coordinate all aspects of construction management, administration, and inspection services as necessary. DGL is looking for a well-rounded Senior Construction Engineer to enhance the qualifications of our Construction Management Department. - Reports to Director of Technical Services - Full-time, Non-Exempt - 4-8 years of previous experience in construction engineering PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following: - Work under supervision of a Project Manager or Senior-level Team Members - Serve as Resident Engineer and/or Project Inspector on construction projects - Communicate with Department leaders for understanding of project scope - Oversee daily inspection of work performed by the contractor - Record daily construction activities, quantities, contractor’s equipment and on-site personnel - Scheduling and facilitating construction progress meetings - Review/approve contractor’s shop drawing submittals - Monitor overall project budget and review/approve contractor’s pay requests prior to submitting to owner for payment - Revie...
