Besides your assigned responsibilities, the Steward is the right-hand to the Onboard Manager and the two of you assist wherever it is necessary to ensure a seamless guest experience. You’re not just on one train car, your duties take you the length of the entire train, both up and downstairs. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform a variety of maintenance tasks and reporting. - Observes mechanical operations and provides troubleshooting assistance - Cleans common areas and restrooms. - Routinely monitors onboard systems and adjusts as necessary. - Maintain climate controls, generator systems, audio systems, GPS and point of sales equipment. - Perform inspection rounds with a strict timeline to ensure proper temperatures of freezers and coolers. - Operate the interior and exterior lifts and assist passengers with special requirements. - Document and submit daily maintenance issues to senior maintenance staff.
